Make money doing the work you believe in

Stuck in a rut or moving on with the times?

I just spent two days at an event full of electric cars. The EV is the future. That’s what we are being told.

Normally I am pretty good at accepting new things, technology and change in general. Hell, I thrive on change and adventure. I find change exciting, new opportunities and a new way of thinking or looking at things from a new angle.

Somehow, though, the combustion engine has captured my heart. I’m sure it’s my dad’s influence. And I am grateful for that. The raw sound of the engine starting up, the exhaust singing and screaming when pushed, the smell of petrol and the popping of the exhaust… they make me happy.

Put me on an electric motorcycle or in an electric car and none of this happens. I find the ride smooth and comfy but completely soulless. And boring.

I can’t stop drawing the comparison with life in general. The clinical existence, very little excitement, the sheep mentality, the herding control, scaremongering and general rules and regulations aimed at the most stupid amongst us.

The urge to take off and hide in some beautiful, hidden country, away from the ‘modern’ society and constant bad news (I haven’t listened to the news in 15 years btw), and live a simpler life (and riding motorcycles, of course) is getting stronger and stronger.

The fatigue of daily life is catching up and the frustration of not being free in the true sense of the world is tiring.

How about you? How do you feel about life in general and are you an EV fan? 😊
