This was an AWESOME episode, with an amazing vibe! While it is an “interview”, since Efrat and Monika are good friends, this episode feels like you were invited into Efrat’s living room to listen in on a beautiful, yet deep conversation. They are both so relaxed with each other, that Monika openly shares some incredibly personal details of her childhood, family and experiences in her past that have shaped her life. I have to confess up front that I am a bit biased since I am friends with both Monika and Efrat, and am lucky enough to have had a reading from Monika last year (which was an amazing experience, incredibly impactful and valuable, and highly recommended).
As you will see in this episode, Monika is one of the most unique, fascinating and inspring people you will ever come across. She is also one of the most genuine and authentic people I know and has an amazing perspective on life. Monika is a polymath, meaning she has deep expertise in many different disciplines, which originates from her incredible and endless curiosity. But as she illustrates throughout the interview, she actually takes action on her curiosities and truly strives to become an expert. She is an accomplished artist, astrologist, an expert in human design and consciousness, somatic therapy, an Austrian economist, and Bitcoiner, just to name a few. She goes into great detail about her life experiences, as well as how and why she developed each skill. This episode exposes the listener to her journey in many of these disciplines with so much interesting information and countless takeaways. And while the interview goes “deep” into many topics (some of which are super personal), they both keep it light and fun throughout.
There is such a wide variety of valuable content in this episode it is hard to do it justice in a write up. A few specific points that really resonated with me were:
- While she strives to be nurturing, she focuses on taking care of herself first
- If you want to practice something, you really have to teach it
- With intimate relationships you tend to attract people with the same “gaps” as you
- We are all on a little individual boat, and we have to learn to navigate our boat to get to the other side. It’s your life and nobody can drive the boat for you.
And I loved Monika’s “reading” of Efrat (and her podcast) at the very end. What an awesome way to wrap up the episode. This is a really interesting and fun episode that covers so many different topics that there is literally something for everyone. I cannot recommend this enough. And if after watching this, if you have any interest in getting a reading from Monika, do it! You will be happy you did!
