Make money doing the work you believe in

With the taps seemingly on full blast at Chester, the ground is now described as good to soft in places (soft more likely!). These clerks of the course can’t seem to help themselves. If it’s not bordering on hard, then leave well alone.

Because of this, it’s easy to see why Lambourn’s price is as low as 11-8 from 7-4, his chances obviously enhanced as this trip is a bare minimum for him, deluge making it more of a test. It really doesn’t help punters that have placed bets expecting good, fast ground.

I’m now glad there are no advised bets today, but please take a look at my preview of the opener at Ascot and the Huxley Stakes at Chester.

Good luck if having a bet today
