BTR’s notebook runners are on a roll, the last three all winning, two of them beating the hot favourites.

Tonight we have two more. The stronger of the two may prove to be SUNSHINE STAR (6.10 Lingfield), who looked in a different league to her rivals in the paddock at Sandown on her return. After travelling smoothly, she soon went back through the field to finish 6th in the race won by subsequent G3 Musidora second Felicitas. The Gosden’s look to have found a good opening for her this evening, though she’s short at 4-9 in the market. The yard boast a 26% strike rate at Lingfield.

The other is KELLY BURN (7.50 Ffos Las), at a general 2-1. She did the biz for us last time, winning at Wolverhampton, and with the James Fanshawe yard running at 25% at the Welsh track, she may well follow up. Two slight concerns. She was only 5th on her only turf start, which came on similar ground, and tonight faces a number of unexposed types, some stepping up appreciably in distance. She’s only up 2lb for her win, however and has plenty of upside off a mark of 69.
