This evening’s first notebook runner SUNSHINE STAR (8-11f) may have taken a walk in the betting for the 6.10 at Lingfield, but it didn’t stop her coming home 4.75L to the good, with gambled on Kashooda back in third.

That win gave Black Type Racing a fourth straight ‘horses to follow’ success.

Our other runner KELLY BURN (7.50 Ffos Las) travelled up well before finding the testing ground against her, fading into fifth when well backed into 13-8f from 2-1. I did mention she faces several unexposed types stepping up in trip, and that’s exactly what happened in the shape of Ed Walker’s Willow Wood, who relished the 2f jump in trip. I wouldn’t give up on Kelly Burn yet, however, considering how well she travelled. A return to the AW or better ground should see her win again.
