Five notebook horses reappear this afternoon.
At Chester (2.10), DO BRONXS (30-1) returns to the scene where he caught the eye when 5th. The step back up to 7f will aid his cause, but he put up a poor effort since, and this is his first run on ground with ease in it, along with this being a class 2, as he may need a drop back to a class 3
In the same race, COMIC HERO (6-1) looked all at sea on easy ground at Musselburgh and was about to challenge when the door shut on him, before rolling around. Looks to have an each-way chance, but again the ground is a concern for win purposes.
Another in this class 2 handicap is STARTLED (6-1). Chasing a hat-trick, he met one in Catullus, and although he still qualifies for easier races, he can’t be discounted in what is a hot contest.
MAN OF VISION (3.35 York) was short of room 1f out at HQ when last seen in May. He quickened nicely, only for a lack of fitness to tell, when the yard was out of form. I’m sure he has a nice handicap in him off a mark of 90, and at 8-1 I wouldn’t put anyone off an each-way bet.
STARDOM GLORY (4.15 York) is another returning to the scene of his only start, when doing well to finish 2nd, having raced too green, running around and unable to go the early pace, before the penny dropped late. Arguably, he was unlucky not to win. I’d say he’s a fair bet at 7-4 with that experience behind him, but the dogs seem to be barking for the favourite, Inner City Blues (4-5), who cost 900,000 euros.
