Egor Korneev

I publish Blue Planet Stories journal with my wife. We produce a podcast, where we interview authors and read their stories on air. We are traveling the Caribbean on our sailboat. I write fiction and non-fiction. Some of it is from our travels.

This story is from my younger days in Russia. That Russia is dead. Its replacement is run by a dictator and an oppressive regime of oligarchs. But this story has little to do with politics. It is about discovery, and it is about people - who are seldom synonymous with the country’s politics.

Such an honor to get to talk with the kind and wonderful people at Blue Planet Stories! I love the way they conduct an interview. It's so friendly and comfortable, and the way that they ask questions leads the interviewee right along.

thank you both so much for inviting me!
