The thing that no one tells you about life is that it’s not like an RPG game.

You can do a million things, help out a thousand people who have their own side quests they need help with, you can gain experience and learn skills and earn degrees, but at the end of twenty years, you’re still stuck at level 1 and can’t afford food because the job market crashed for people with the skill tree you chose.

And when every exclamation mark over the other people’s heads is gone, and they have nothing left to need from you, you’re left wondering, “How do I get to the cool part I saw in the trailers?”

Does that part even exist? Or was the trailer for my life just a cinematic that looked nothing like the real game?
