As I reflect over my six years with ALS, I am overwhelmed with the ways that it has impacted and changed my life and perspective for the better.

One of the most important things that I have learned is that presence is everything. In a world that is full of distractions, the only way that we can reclaim our lives is to take the power away from the distractions and choose be present.

This life is short and it is the only one that we get, so choose to show up for it.
