The app for independent voices

Harper's Magazine accepted my long narrative essay on my cat Nini for publication!

A curious thing about First Amendment free speech cases: they often feature quite unsympathetic speakers, usually vindicating the free speech rights of these assholes.

The point is that viewpoint discrimination by the state is prohibited. Vile speech is as protected as righteous speech.

Okay but seriously - is Substack's algorithm THAT good, or did all the wholesome souls of the internet somehow find their way here?!

NO, I don’t want to “learn how to grow my substack account.”

Let’s stop turning social platforms into a constant reminder that we’re never doing enough.

I simply want to share my raw, authentic story, wisdom, and all the advice I wish I didn’t ignore.

And I want to read about others sharing the same.

I’ll take real and relatable over optimized any day.
