Gorbachev agreed to the reunification of Germany on the condition that NATO wouldn’t move one inch to the East.

But the West reneged on this promise, moving a 1000 miles to the East and bringing 15 extra countries into NATO which left Russia surrounded.

The West then unilaterally walked away from two nuclear weapons treaties with Russia and put Aegis Missile Systems into Romania and Poland, 12 minutes from Moscow.

When Russia did that to Cuba in 1962 we came very close to a nuclear war.

Then in 2014, the West overthrew the elected Ukrainian government and installed a Western-sympathetic government. This is why Russia went into Crimea - because they knew the new government would invite the US navy into the port. And note that Russia went into Crimea without firing a shot because the people are Russian.

Subsequently, the Ukrainian regime started killing ethnic Russians in Donbas and Lugansk, so the people of these regions voted to leave and join Russia. Putin said he didn’t want them but agreed to give them protection and semi-autonomy instead. And make an agreement to keep NATO out of Ukraine.

That treaty was written by Germany, France, Russia and England - The Minsk Accords - but the Ukrainian government refuse to sign it.

Then in 2019 Zelenskyy got elected on a promise to sign the Minsk Accords. He promised Ukraine peace. But he pivoted because he was threatened with death by ultra-rightists in his own government and withdrawal of support by the USA by Victoria Nuland.

And that’s when the Russians went into Ukraine with a small army. They clearly had no intention of conquering Ukraine but wanted the West back at the negotiating table.

Eventually Zelenskyy and Putin signed a treaty and the Russians began to withdraw their troops in good faith.

But what happened?

Joe Biden sent Boris Johnson over to the Ukraine and forced him to tear up the treaty. Consequently, 450,000 kids have died needlessly.

People need to wake up to the facts of what this war is really about before sending their sons and daughters to their deaths.
