I’ve often wondered how the German people allowed the Holocaust to occur. Many of my ancestors lost their lives in the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, or Belzec. While I’m not predicting a return to gas chambers here, what is occurring now is horrific enough and is a clear signal to everyone that now is the time to act in whatever capacity they can to stop this madness. I am confident we will prevail and our descendants will be told of our role, large or small, in the resistance that defeated the Nazi’s of our time.
