Any putative truths beneath or beyond truth-talk, apart from analytic or tautological cases, are not directly available to us except through mediated encounter, interpretation, and language.
I am going to make a concerted effort to quit using the word truth when I only mean truth-talk, the language translation of truth, to which we have no unmediated access.
We don’t debate truth bare. We debate truth-talk, which is already dressed in rhetoric, grammar, power, and selective emphasis.
