Do you listen to music while working? I almost always do. When I’m editing a large manuscript, I find that listening to grayscale Berlin techno at high volume in headphones makes the pages fly by, while improving my concentration. Today, I’ve only got a few pages to do, but my brain wishes we were still in bed, so I started the day with some post-breakfast death metal (Obituary’s Dying Of Everything, which came out in January and didn’t impress me much at the time but has grown in my estimation), and now that it’s time to actually buckle down, it’s Cutty Ranks’ Six Million Ways To Die, a seriously hardcore dancehall album from 1996. What gets the job done for you?
