July 13 was the comment deadline for the OMB rule fight that public health advocates warned could threaten federal grant funding tied to Black women's survival. The Black Women's Health Imperative warned that the proposed changes could put health research at risk, including the work used to document maternal health inequities, medical dismissal, and barriers to care. That is the part people need to stop treating as technical.
