This is a long post about journalism, press freedom and the threat to both. This week 464 Guardian journalists voted to go on strike, in protest against the proposed sale of a core part of the organisation to a financially struggling podcast company. Meanwhile, most of the readers know nothing about it. This is my attempt to summarise what's going on...if you care about journalism in these dark times, and especially the Guardian's commitment to liberal journalism, please read and share (with apologies for the length, there's a lot going on).
