Great and sad example of how gaslighting manifests itself not as a tactic, but as ideological honesty from a lens incapable of seeing that which its designed to ignore.

But despite knowing that a negative test doesn’t mean perfect health, I still used this logic to convince myself that my symptoms were my own fault—and like so many other women, I believed what doctors said until I no longer trusted my body when it said it was in pain.
