“And blessed are you when people mock, persecute and say all manner of evil things about you because of me… as they did the prophets before you… (for) you are the light of the world” (Matthew 5)

The dark forces of this world can never and will never understand the Light of God and the works of compassion that it prompts - but neither can they overcome or defeat it for all their venomous words or hateful deeds. So don’t hide your light, or apologise for it, but place it on a lampstand for all to see. Stand alongside the poor in spirit, the downtrodden and the persecuted, and never stop crying out for righteousness and peace. And you will not go unrewarded in the Kingdom of Heaven

Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
