In 2022, Democrat Alisa Simmons won the Commissioner Precinct 2 seat by 4k votes. County Judge Tim O’Hare and his Republican comrades redrew the lines to make it harder for a Democrat to win again. To understand how to win in 2026, you can’t just look at the race (and races like this) from a high level. You have to get into individual precincts. The voters are there to win. Tarrant County is poised to flip.
