I STAND WITH MAYOR MIKE JOHNSTON.

For those who don't know, Mike Johnston is the mayor of Denver. A couple of years ago, Governor Abbott of Texas and leaders in Florida decided to send bus loads of immigrants to other cities to make a point about what a difficult problem they were. The busses arrived in Denver loaded with people with nothing more than their hopes and dreams. They arrived sometimes with flip flops and tee shirts in the freezing Denver winter. Mike Johnston met them with surprise and concern. He quickly mobilized the people of his office and the people of his city. Everyone pitched in and there were shelters, clothes drives, food drives, legal assistance, transportation to waiting families in other states and so much more. Over the next many months Mike Johnston and the city of Denver assisted about 43,000 people who were helped and absorbed into the country of the United States of America. Mr. Johnston is now in the sights of trump and was invited to Washington to be grilled by the likes of his own fellow statesmen Lauren Bobert and Gabe Evans. They drilled him on how it was illegal and disgusting that he helped people. They call Denver a ‘sanctuary ‘ city and the result was to refer him to the DOJ for prosecution. Mike Johston responded that it was his Christian duty to help people. He mobilized others who agreed and he stands behind what he did. He is a true American hero and does not deserve this treatment. I am a Coloradan though I don't live in Denver and I watched him work diligently for months to help the migrants with the aid of so many others and I am proud of them all. Now the magats insist on persecuting him as an enemy and I for one, will stand by him any way possible. Please pass on this story and watch for updates. Thank you.
