One year ago today, I watched

’s Substack Masterclass…on YouTube. I had started a blog—and newsletter—on WordPress days earlier and was more than ready to find a platform that had fewer bugs and more features. Ain’t nobody got time for plugins or updates!

Let’s just say Substack, for me, is the platform of my creative dreams. Simple, powerful, and stable.

After watching the video once, twice, three times a lady…I knew I wanted to switch, but struggled with the idea of starting over. Again. I only had a few followers and posts. It couldn’t possibly be as easy as Ms. Loff made it sound. Or could it?

Long story short, it could be and it was.

Substack has the distinction of being the only creative platform I’ve found that not only does what it says it does…it just works. To date, I’ve had to reach out to support once. And the bug was squashed in under 24 hours.

My only regrets are waiting 10 days to join and another day to publish.

While my first post on Substack was on January 24, 2024, I consider today my anniversary…the start of my Substack journey.

It’s been an amazing first year.

Thank you, Christina…and team!

Clint
