The app for independent voices

Hello everyone. This may be just a 1 time post.

Substack is where I come for accurate news. There are many I follow.

First of all I’m a Canadian. I’m a female almost 77 years old and I’m semi handicapped, from several bad bone breaks over the last 5 years. I live with my Son thankfully. We don’t have a vehicle so we take public transportation for everything. For 3 years I was totally house bound from 1 bad break where they wanted to amputate my foot….I said no. Them after just feeling great about getting out and going to the mall to shop, I br

oke my pelvis in 3 places last July….2 months and I was on the go again.

I’m new to this so I hope you will not be frustrated over any mistakes.

Now, this is the root of what I want to talk about. For over a year I have been concerned about what is happening in the US and time has escalated changes.

Now the thing is …there are people thinking about leaving. I want to give some ideas to those that are thinking about it and acting before your borders are shut down.

Make a plan. Start by researching what province you’d like to get to. This is very important. We have provinces that are functioning just like your Republican ones and some adopting similar messures. I would start with taking your money out of an American bank and transferring to a Canadian one ….we have several in the US RBC Scocia Bank and not sure about others. Plan the timing of your departure. Sell off any property you own. Quarrantine your pets so that there will be no problem taking them with you. When you have selected the province you want to move to, then research what’s happening or going on around the time you want to leave be it a concert, any event…..any sport ….lecture….etc…visit relatives. Pack only for a week end or a week. Border will go through your phone and your laptops and anything inside may be reasons for turning you back.

These are just some rough ideas.

I’m going to get the information that you will need when you get to Canada. I suggest if you can…mail your passport to someone in Canada so it can’t be taken away from you.

You can use Canada as a stepping stone to any other country you wish to move to. Now this section is for people who can financially follow this.

Now…for those that can’t afford to do it like the above but still want to risk leaving. Many border towns have bridges you can walk over…ie to see relatives (find someone in Canada you can use to say you’re going to visit or for a wedding etc) Research places along the border where you can walk hidden to cross over….thankfully its summer. Travel very light. Don’t bring animals or other pets….sorry….I will work on trying to aquire more information for you when you get to Canada.

I wish you all the best of luck…..

And we Canadians have done this kind of thing several times, like in the SLAVE DAYS where an escape route was known as the underground railway.

Then again, during the Vietnam War we took in draft dodgers. I have heard from several provinces that they will welcome you.

Be STRONG ..you’re running from Tyrany..and a Dictatorship and on top of that your country is going to crumble.

One other piece of advice….don’t tell anyone your plans not even family members until you are on safer ground. Some states will pay for this information.
