Quick note on Bordeaux Cite du Vin

I knew it was huge so planned to do it first on Friday after worst of travel exhaustion was at a minimum

Major heatwave is over but it is still hot getting around but Bordeaux has great trams to get you there.

There is too much information to absorb in one go so if you want to spend less than a day there you need to be a little selective.

The most impressive thing for me was the range and quality of the exhibits - videos on huge screens, some great interactive stuff such as sniffing cones to get your head around the aromas (I avoided sniffing the coffee) Amazing exhition tecnology and design

There was this little game you could play where you analysed your vinous personality by answering 20 questions about what sort of car you like or do prefer tigers or elephants or hamsters. Then it gave you a wine recommendation mine was MANZNILLA! Amazing, we have just flown half way round the world to have Manzanilla and tapas in Andalusia. AI at its most useful and benign
