Introducing Pell Saxon: A Mandalorian’s Redemption

The Mandalorian people have always been warriors. Some fight for honor, others for survival. And some—like Pell Saxon—fight to reclaim what was lost.

I’ve always been drawn to the Mandalorian culture, and my cosplay reflects that passion. But instead of simply wearing the armor, I wanted to tell a story—one that fits within the current Star Wars timeline and explores a side of Mandalorian history that often goes untold.

Who is Pell Saxon?

Pell Saxon is a mercenary, a Mandalorian for hire. But unlike the common bounty hunters of the galaxy, he doesn’t work for just anyone. His allegiance lies with those who stand against the remnants of the Empire. Yet, his name carries a weight that many Mandalorians cannot forgive.

The Saxon clan was known for its betrayal. Gar Saxon, once a loyal servant of the Empire, helped oppress Mandalore and its people. Now, with Mandalore free and its people struggling to rebuild, the last thing they want to see is another Saxon stepping foot on their soil.

But Pell isn’t here to finish what his ancestors started. He’s here to undo it.

A Lone Warrior Seeking Redemption

When Pell’s ship touches down on Mandalore, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Bo-Katan Kryze, who fought to reclaim the planet, has heard whispers of a Mandalorian bearing an Imperial Signet. To her, Pell represents everything Mandalore suffered under Imperial rule. She is ready to cast him out before he can even speak.

But Pell isn’t one to be turned away easily. He stands firm in his purpose: to restore his clan’s honor. He knows that words mean little to Mandalorians—only actions prove one’s worth. And so, Bo-Katan gives him one chance. A single opportunity to fight alongside his people in an upcoming conflict with the Imperial remnants still lurking in the Outer Rim.

Pell Saxon must now prove himself not only to the Mandalorians but to himself. The path to redemption is never easy, and for a Saxon, it may be impossible. But this is The Way.

As I dive into this fan story, I want to explore themes of redemption, loyalty, and the weight of legacy. Pell Saxon is my original Mandalorian cosplay character, but his story is one that could easily exist within The Mandalorian and Ahsoka series timeline.
