Shakespeare Sonnet Challenge, continued:

With brief explanations of sonnets 1-4, plus a page from my notes with further analysis and some important distinctions from literary theory.

Of these 4 sonnets, which are called “the procreation sonnets,” I is my favorite. It feels more abstract and slightly existentialist than the others, which are more firmly rooted in the material: the mirror, inherited wealth. Do you have a favorite?
