So here’s a helpful video: 200 most used words in Irish! You’re also given the pronunciation and an example of the word used in a sentence. Many of the sentences are helpful to know, for example, Tá an lá go breá (The day is fine).

I listen to videos like this while cooking or doing things around the house. It’s helpful to see the words and the pronunciation, yet good first to listen and take in the sounds. Learn the sounds first—then look at the spelling.
