ICE is responsible for a 3-year-old boys brutal murder. Caskets this small should not exist. 😭💔

In January, ICE deported Wendy Hernandez Reyes to Honduras after a traffic stop. She was deported without her 3-year-old son Orlin. ICE placed Orlin and his cousins with Samuel Maldonado, the estranged ex of her sister. 

Weeks later, Maldonado killed and sexually assaulted Orlin. 

The boy had at least 17 blows to the head, multiple broken bones, burns from a lighter, stomping injuries, and signs of sexual battery.

ICE director Todd Lyons publicly stated in March that Hernandez had "abandoned" her son to a "violent murderer" but then behind the scenes DHS took the unusual step of letting Hernandez fly back to Atlanta on May 25 for roughly three days to attend Orlin's funeral.

They put his little head in a pageboy cap for the funeral. It was the only way to cover the marks from his beatings.

“I never wanted to leave you,” she whispered repeatedly at his funeral. “I wanted to bring you with me. My son.”

Rest in Peace Orlin Josue Hernandez Reyes. You were too pure for this world.
