By another head doctor of the 2nd largest private medical hospital group. With both letters arriving in my inbox on the same day, with almost identical wording. Fancy that?

There is something deeply rotten about the medical profession and the medical regulatory system when it punishes doctors for speaking out on behalf of their patients.

Every day, doctors, royal colleges, professional bodies, and regulators talk the talk about patient safety and first do no harm. But it is all lip service. Talk is cheap. When the time comes to walk the walk, they not only stumble, but fall flat on their faces.

Group think, lack of moral courage, no integrity, societal decay, whatever name you apply, the reality is we have a problem.

Sadly, the ones that should be listened to are the ones who are silenced and destroyed. While the ones who presided over the mess will be the ones to review the failings.

And we know how that plays out, the very people guilty and at fault will pass on the blame, congratulate themselves, say some comforting words to placate the masses, bury the truth under a mountain of noise and the when everyone has forgotten and moved on, business will carry on as usual.

Things only change when things change. People need to change. Stop playing the obedient unquestioning patient and demand accountability.

Stop taking their poisons, their quick fixes, the symptoms suppressors, stop being a cog in their wheel.

Don't give them the power over you.

Reclaim your health. As I have said from the beginning good health is the greatest act of resistance and expression of freedom.
