This morning, when it was still dark outside, I woke up with a strong conviction about one of my recent posts. On July 23rd, I wrote a post about one of my early heroes, Robert Kennedy. In it, I said some unkind things about his son, a current candidate for the Democratic nomination for President and the real reason for the post.

There is a fine line between cleverness and meanness, a difference between calling out bad policy and attacking the person promoting it. I fear that I sometimes cross that line. So, I have gone back and toned down my unkind rhetoric in that piece. And if you, readers, ever believe I have crossed the line in a future post, please let me know. I want this Substack to inspire, inform, enlighten, and uplift. I do not want it to add to the chorus of rank vitriol that plagues our troubled world.
