This is one of my favorite pics of a Buddha statue. To me it symbolizes a steadfast dedication to the practice of steady awareness, despite the weathering and wearing factors of life in this real world.
I photographed this statue alongside a wooded trail on the grounds of the Peace Pagoda in Leverett, Massachusetts.
