How we use words is so important.

For example:

God is a monotheistic term as it's currently being used. If we would have a polytheistic culture, we'd refer to these beings as deities.

I.e. The christian deity: God. The islamic deity: Allah. The ancient greek deity: Hekate. Etc.

And since I'm an atheist, I don't speak of god or gods. I study deities, while believing in divinity and collaborating with select deities that support me. I don't follow any religious order: I order my own faith. Hence: atheism.

I also say divinity, not "the divine" or “source”, because that indicates singularity and linearity. Not everyone has that perspective. For me personally, divinity is a collective and a feeling, while time doesn't exist - it's just motion and perspective. Hence: there's no source and no hierarchy.

And because I'd like people to be more inclusive of each other's faiths. I make sure that I use the correct language, that opens the door for people to start a conversation.

That's how we start with an inclusive culture in my opinion. You can believe anything you want, as long as you respect my belief too.

Who knows, we might learn from each other.

Meanwhile, I don't honor every religion, but I do respect all of them. Because love is unconditional.

Any suggestions on how to improve this language?
