My first note…I had thoughts that I initially shared on Facebook, but seemed appropriate here:

So, as we all know media is changing. Historically we had the Industrial Revolution, I would posit that we are now in a media revolution where trad media where network and even cable news, newspapers, are becoming passé… as a GenX er this makes me wince but also curious. Where are we going? I find myself listening often to podcasts for pop/culture and news. And subscribing to substacks, for smart content. Some paid, some not; when I like it and want more I subscribe. It’s a smart model. My fave substack is The Bulwark (newsy political ) where I subscribe for the added and ad free content; on pop culture I love listening to podcasts on Apple or YouTube currently Two T’s in a Pod (Bravo / housewives focused) and The Viall Files (for reality recaps and some long form interviews in their ‘going deeper’ eps)… otherwise I scan headlines and watch a bit of cable news. I can only imaging my younger generation contemporaries (millennials, genz’s) have passed go and just intake from new media, likely some I dont even know about yet, because, I am now the old one… but as a GenXer I pride myself on being open and crossing the line from the past to the future… 😜🙌 #rambles
