7 in 10 U.S. adults oppose constructing data centers in their local communities, according to a recent Gallup survey. In fact, more people would rather live near a nuclear power plant than a data center.

Their concerns include:

~ excessive use of resources, like water & energy

~ noise pollution, air, & water pollution

~ impact on local quality of life

I’m hearing those same concerns from the people reporting to me.

Why are we not listening to the people? Data Center developers need to address these concerns rather than steamrolling communities.
