Update: I seem to be visible again. Let me know: tiktok.com/@erin.marie.miller

Well, I made a TikTok account and it lasted about a week. I’m apparently officially shadow banned after posting about my photography series “The Neighbors” — which promotes unity in a divided society by listening to our neighbors. (See the series, which I started in 2018, here: erinmariemillerstudio.com/the-neighbors).

My next post after that was about making a photography class or workshop for aspiring photographers. At some point after, or in between, one of those two posts, TikTok made me invisible.

Here are some screenshots of what I see vs what the public sees. I’m so appalled.

I started experiencing shadow banning across multiple platforms (including Substack, at one point) earlier this year, as well as the removal of some of my content on other platforms due to false “violations.” I’ve always wondered if it was somehow related to my FOIA lawsuit.

If anyone ever wonders why I’m so adamant about free expression — this is why. (The first screenshot is what I saw while logged in; the second screenshot is what other users were seeing when viewing my profile.)
