Listened to this conversation between John Ganz and Elle Reeve yesterday. Reeve’s perception of Alt-Right and far-right psychologies was very uncomfortable for me, in a good way. She’s picked up on some things I didn’t know anyone had (not only did people in the Alt-Right start a “white Sharia” meme—they actually started living it out for real) and made me think about things in my own life that I’d never connected to my radicalization arc (the gifted-program-to-fascism pipeline?).

Richard Spencer’s body image sensitivity comes up a few times in this podcast. Just a quick, dumb note: not only would his critics tweet pictures of him looking a little overweight when they disapproved of his takes or activity—they came up with this stock image of him, I think from the first Alt-Right rally in Charlottesville, photoshopped to make him look 15% bigger than he was, that was objectively hilarious but that really upset him. 😅
