Alex Lawson, of Social Security Works, hosted the Thom Hartmann program the past 2 weeks. This was the time for EVERYONE to tune in & call in with their questions about Social Security (and Medicare, to a lesser extent). Do NOT let the GOP LIE to you about WHAT is going on with Social Security, which is NOT a part of the National Debt!!! You can fast forward to 40 min in to catch some info about SSA and it's equally important for younger people to learn sooner vs. later. SSA is an ENTITLEMENT, as in WE FUND IT and WE are absolutely ENTITLED to it! It's our REAL, non-profit, self-funded disability, retirement, & supplental insurance we have every RIGHT to and stop believing the B. S. that “others” are getting it. The qualifications are VERY CLEAR!

If you're blessed to not ever have to rely on it, goodie for you, but if you worked & paid in as the law requires, it is YOUR policy, which benefits you far beyond what meets the eye & is very much “social” security, as it helps ensure there are no excuses for uncivil behavior if you are one of the unfortunate who actually NEEDS it, IF properly managed as intended, and let me tell ya, electing wealthy, corrupt crooks does not result in ethical management of this insurance policy!
