There are Democrats right now saying they are willing to overlook endless war, billions in weapons spending, and the influence of powerful lobbies in Washington.

They are willing to overlook a government that has spent trillions on war since 2001 while working families struggle here at home.

They are willing to overlook a $34 trillion national debt and the cost of maintaining a permanent war economy.

All to attack me over how I voted in a February primary ten years ago.

Let me say this clearly.

I believe in participating in democracy. I believe every election matters. And I believe we all grow.

If people want to know, I’m happy to say it. I should vote in every election possible. Like many Americans, I have learned and grown over the years, and I will keep growing.

But this election is not about 2016.

This election is about where our country goes next.

Do we continue the path of endless war and politics dominated by big money?

Or do we choose a future focused on the American people and the needs of our communities?

Democrats must do better. Our voters deserve better.

Let’s build something better together.
