I’m going to try an experiment because a lot of conversation is happening around this topic, so I’ll be the guinea pig. 😲 I would like to provide feedback on a single fantasy or science fiction short story that you’ve written on Substack. If you know me, you know I’m not harsh and will be respectful. Very simply rules:
It must be speculative.
It must be public (not paywalled).
In your reply, you must provide me the link and a very simple idea of what kind of feedback you would like.
You must accept the feedback as a public comment on your story so that others can benefit.
The first to reply with the details will be chosen, but if I feel it’s working well, I will move down the list.
If you don’t know me (or how I could possibly be qualified), I do have a journalism degree and writing background, and I’ve studied the art of writing short stories extensively. More than anything, I just want to help another author.
