Recently, I've been literally told that I'm essentially "the enemy" if I don't agree with a particular stance and that no further conversation between us is possible. Then the person stopped talking to me and unfollowed. This was 'free speech' type person who now has a government role.

I can't begin to count the number of people who claimed people were being intolerant towards them who then, once they had a bit of power, turned around and shut down anyone who disagreed with them. This isn't an ideological problem. This is a human nature problem.
