Perspective: Operation Epic Fury Updates

As of of 1 March 1100 EST, the U.S. military has reported three American service members have been killed and five have been seriously wounded in military operations targeting Iran.

A U.S. Central Command update stated that major combat operations will continue and that situation was “fluid.”

Iran vowed revenge Sunday after the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamanei and several family members along with;

-Head of the Iranian Defense Council

-Iranian Minister of Defense

-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps

-Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces

-Head of the Military Bureau (claimed by Israel)

-Intelligence Chief (claimed by Israel)

Iran continued to exchange strikes with Israel. Some Iranian missiles have penetrated Israel’s air defenses, resulting in nine deaths.

Yesterday (Saturday), Iran launched missiles and drones at several neighboring countries, to include Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, and Bahrain. Iran’s foreign minister blamed some of the attacks on Iranian military units that have become “isolated” by U.S. and Israeli attacks and consequently operating under older, previous orders.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a prerecorded message aired on state television that a new leadership council had begun its work, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a new supreme leader would be chosen in “one or two days.”
