The key turning point in your healing journey is when you stop blaming other people, groups, things, circumstances, etc. for you state of being.
Actually, this is probably the true start of your healing journey. Everything before was a warm-up of sorts. This is when the real trials and lessons begin.
In some ways, when we have this realization, we are blaming ourselves, but be careful not to fall into the victim role here.
It is a bit paradoxical because it is your fault, but it is not your fault.
It is more of an inner strength that arises, that lets you face what you need to face, let go of what you need to let go of, see what you need to see, and more.
It is not a straight line. You will regress and start blaming others, making excuses, but there is a fundamental shift that occurs when you have this realization.
You cross a line and can’t go back. This photo was taken exactly 8 years ago. This was the day I crossed that line. I was walking around in the rain with my 2 month old daughter strapped to my chest and IT hit me. I don’t even normally take selfies, but a part of me knew this moment was special and should be documented. Maybe even just for this note.
Well, the last 8 years have been a wild ride, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Have you crossed that line?
