Emanuel Rodrigues, a Brazilian man with a rare life-threatening condition that has restricted his mobility, was locked in solitary confinement for five months, according to journalist Daysi Calavia-Robertson of nj.com. Rodrigues was released today after months of mistreatment inside Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey.
Rep. Rob Menendez’s office has advocated for Emanuel’s release and was notified when he was granted his freedom.
