The Play-It-Safe Principal in September:

• Locks down the schedule first

• Casts vision on Day 1 before listening

• Sets goals FOR the staff

• Waits for the district to send them to training

The Ruckus Maker in September:

• Writes a Day 91 Vision before school begins

• Spends Week 1 on a listening tour

• Sets goals WITH the staff in Month 2

• Builds their own development plan with intention

One spends the year catching up. The other leads from Day 1.
