Since December 2025, I’ve been trying to confirm the status of the UAP record transfers. I know there are additional agencies that have UAP records. I don’t know for a fact when or if they were transferred. NARA and/or transferring agencies likely missed a deadline, but it’s unclear who and to what extent.

I had tried various emails and phone numbers at NARA that either have not responded, are no longer valid, or responded without answering my questions. I’ve been working my way up and in to the department handling the UAP record transfers based on suggestions of people at NARA and information available online.

Last Thursday, April 2nd, I reached out to someone with NARA’s Research Services and the next day received a response that they’re checking into my questions. I asked if there are publicly available records not yet online, what the expected completion date is for uploading records, and if copies of the metadata spreadsheets could be shared.

The people I have previously gotten through to at NARA have been pleasant and tried to be helpful in their capacity. However, no one seemed to have any information not already public. I know that this recent individual has insight and hopefully can share some of it.

I don’t have many options left after this at NARA, so hopefully this can shine some light on the status of the transfers and uploads.
