On the third day of Christmas, we explore the concept of boundaries, using the metaphor of a garden, fence, and gate. Just as a garden thrives when it is nurtured and protected, we must establish boundaries to keep our hearts and bodies safe from harm. The fence symbolizes the barriers we create to ward off negativity, while the gate indicates that we have the power to decide who or what enters our personal space. Together, these elements convey the necessity of protecting our well-being.

“Emotional safety serves as one of the keys to opening the gate. When we feel emotionally secure, we find the courage to be vulnerable, to shed our protective layers, express our authentic selves, and communicate openly without fear.”
