Failure of leadership is what the Democrats have put on display during the “Biden dementia” psychodrama.
Thanks in no small part to the cannibalistic corporate media, the narrative that Joe Biden has dementia has at last caught up to the reality that Joe Biden has dementia. That much was always an inevitability.
Being unceremoniously confronted by Joe Biden having dementia during the June 27th debate with Donald Trump, what have the Democrats on Capitol Hill done in response? Ultimately, not a damn thing.
They have tweeted, and pontificated about what to do and the wisdom of Joe Biden stepping aside, but nearly two weeks on and Joe Biden is still in the Oval Office, still the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2024 election, and still has advancing dementia.
There will be another episode, another embarrassing reminder that Joe Biden has dementia. There will be another episode after that. And another, and another. They will get worse and more frequent. That is how dementia progresses.
But in just over a month’s time, Joe Biden will be locked in as the Democratic nominee. For better or worse, they will be stuck with him throughout the election, regardless of his growing incapacity to serve as President or campaign for re-election.
The Democrats have had their opportunity to show true leadership in a genuine political crisis. They have failed miserably.
Come November, there will be consequences.
