The son of Warren Buffett is the largest private donor supporting Ulraine

The son of Warren Buffett, Howard G. Buffett was recently on the outskirts of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, accompanying Ukraine’s White Angel police unit during civilian evacuation under active shelling. The operation relied on armored evacuation vehicles supplied through the Howard G. Buffett Foundation - equipment designed specifically for frontline conditions.

This visit is part of a much larger, sustained logistical effort. Foundation's aid to Ukraine has now exceeded $800 million, with projections pointing toward $1 billion by the end of 2025.

Foundation has delivered hundreds of specialized vehicles and systems, including:

-Heavy mechanical demining machines and transport trucks, helping clear thousands of hectares of mined agricultural land

- Armored evacuation vehicles purpose-built for frontline rescue units such as the White Angels

- Dozens of all-terrain fire engines and emergency response vehicles for missile- and drone-strike aftermaths

- Large agricultural fleets—tractors, combine harvesters, and support equipment—replacing machinery destroyed or stolen, enabling farms to return to production

- Mobile DNA laboratories and police vehicles, supporting war crime documentation and forensic investigations.
