VP Vance is likely to present Danish FM Løkke and Greenland Rep Motzfeldt with a fait accompli to sell Greenland tomorrow at the White House. “The Offer” is what Trump meant by “the easy way” in his statement last Friday

It would be illegal for governments of Denmark and Greenland to hand it over so rejection is inevitable. Subsequently, Trump will move to what he described as “the hard way”, which entails a high risk of military action.

Danmark, European allies and Canada must gather af potent force ASAP to secure Greenland against Trump’s alleged threat of takeover by Russia and China (what I call “the red herring”). In the end the force also needs to deter against US aggression. This is the only way to prevent US annexation and the survival of NATO.
