We’re off on another van escapade. Somehow getting tickets to see Matt Haig on his Midnight Train book tour this coming week resulted in us planning a 3 week trip to the UK including St Albans, St Ives (Cambs not Cornwall), Ely, Yorkshire, Northumberland, York, St Albans again, Folkestone, and then back onto Europe for a little diddle up the west coast of Denmark, before heading home.
Phew, I feel tired just writing that down!
Fist 315km done and a ‘luxury’ night (not) in a hypermarket car park outside Flensburg - just over the German border. A little village of vans around us and surprisingly quiet. Still, woke up at 4.30am which seems to be becoming a habit!
Onward to a lovely oak-shaded site in Bremen today - only 280km - hoping they have space for us. Evie has offered to drive today! 🤣And hoping we, and especially Evie, don't melt in the heat wave. 😅
Now perhaps I should at least try to get some more sleep! 😴
