Day 15 of camper van escapades and Kim started the day with a question “Is it Friday at home?” 🤣 I know we live in a different time zone, but not a parallel universe as far as I know?! But it proves just how much we've detached ourselves, in a good way, from real life while we've been touring around this past week. 🥰
It was time to say farewell to York, after a quick visit to the Millenium Bridge, and a walk around the campsite for Evie. She was eyeballing us with her classic ‘time to go out’ stare - head cocked just enough to look cute as hell. How can you say no to that?!
The campsite was nice, but even with big pitches it was filled with way too many people compared to the incredibly quiet places we've stayed this past week. 99 vans and caravans, 94 Brits, 4 Germans, and us.
So far we've driven 2,401km, that's 1492 miles in old money. Well it's mostly Kim as he likes driving and I’m happy to be navigation assistant and head Google searcher in the passenger seat. Today we’re adding another 300km to that as we drive back to where we started in Wheathampstead and it will be at least another 1650km by the time we get home sometime next week. But we've taken it bit by bit so it hasn't felt too painful.
Tomorrow is a day of rest (and a lot of washing) at Mums before starting our long journey back to Denmark….
